PDS History
1995 - Precision Drive Systems is founded in Dallas, NC as the exclusive North American sales and service
center authorized by Giordano Colombo High Speed Spindles. Factory training of technicians established a much needed
local spindle service for builders and users of CNC Routers and Robotic Automation Units.
1997 - PDS initiates revolutionary 3 Day Spindle Repair Service
1998 - PDS sells and services related spindle accessories including Variable Frequency Drives, Collet Chuck Tool Holders,
Multi-Spindle Boring Units and Aggregate Milling Heads.
2005 - PDS GmbH is founded in Löhne, Germany in response to an increasing demand for qualified 3 day repair service on all
brands of spindles in Europe.
2007 - PDS relocates to its 33,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Bessemer City, NC.
2008 - PDS develops and introduces the XLerator Series, its first line of high speed spindles engineered and manufactured by PDS. The Xlerator Series offers innovative designs developed from recognizing the weaknesses discovered in the repair of all spindle brands.
2009 - PDS registers its first international patent for the Dyna-Loc Tool Clamping System. This Automatic Tool Change clamping system has a revolutionary compact design that eliminates the traditional draw bar and pnuematic actuator
2010 - PDS enters BRAZIL and RUSSIA offering sales and service for all spindle brands.
