PDS Repair Facilities
The PDS repair facilities in both the USA and Germany are designed specifically for the repair of high speed spindles.
Each facility Includes a temperature and humidity controlled clean room for spindle assembly. This clean room environment insures that dust and contaminants are kept out of our work. We use state of the art equipment for component cleaning, component measurement, and dynamic spindle balancing.
PDS has specially designed tools used for the spindle assembly process. We also use dynametric force gauges to test spindle clamping forces
There is a spindle break-in room where newly assembled spindles complete the required 6-8 hour run-in process. Compressed Air and Chiller systems are used to cool the spindles during run-in and balancing procedures.
